A signed hand-pulled color lithograph on paper by historically noted and renowned French artist Henri Matisse (1869-1954), titled La Vierge et l’Enfant, created in 1949. This piece features a stunning yellow background accented with floral rosettes. The center of the image features a mother and child or ‘Virgin and Child’. From an edition of 60, this piece has not been numbered but is signed to the bottom right ‘H. Matisse’ in ink, showing signs of oxidation. The piece is set in a white matte and presented in a wooden frame with a wire to the verso for hanging.
