One newspaper, Fond Du Lac Commonwealth Reporter has a top headline of ‘Heavy Hitting Marks Day Tilts; Night scores 1-0.’ Other headlines ‘Brewers Idle at Toledo as Tribe cops 4-1’ and ‘College Men in Army will play against Pro 11’. The newspaper is dated May 27, 1943. A newspaper from 1946 has a top headline of ‘Red Sox Beat Indians Pair—Now Lead by 11 Games and a story about baseball great Ted Williams. The newspaper comes with a small Topps baseball card for Ted Williams on the left side. The last news paper is about more baseball stories from the 1940s: ’Babe Ruth in Uniform Tomorrow’, ‘Pond River Sealtest Keep perfect marks’ and more. Newspapers are not complete and mounted to cardboard.
