A grouping of two Chinese guardian lions. The pairing includes a ferocious ceramic lion with a brown wood toned finish and a carved composite lion that rests on a coordinating base. Temple lions are used in traditional Chinese culture to guard the entrances of homes, government buildings and temples and are thought to ward off evil spirits. The figures are unmarked.
