An original mixed media on Strathmore paper painting by artist Joseph Foster (20th century) titled Raptor. The artist uses oil paint and crayons as well as enamel and graphite to create this frenetic, abstract work, featuring an angular geometric form in the center, with patterned, splattered areas filling in the backdrop. Unsigned, the work is accompanied by a gallery tag and artist biography kept in an envelope affixed to the verso. Dry mounted against a white backing, this work is also centered within a layer of white matting with a gilt fillet and is presented behind glass in a beveled gilt frame with hanging wire present to verso.
