A vintage West German Alpha Precision Instruments barometer/thermometer. This banjo shaped weather station features mahogany stained wood with brass accents. This piece has a top brass finial, a glass thermometer with brass temperature plate in Fahrenheit degrees, a brass and glass barometer with a central opening to show the workings, and a circular ribbed bottom decoration. This item is marked to the barometer face, ‘Alpha Precision Instruments Made in Western Germany’ and stamped to the back, ‘Made in Germany.’ This weather station has wall mounting features on the back.
