Vintage Louis XV/XVI Style Transitional Commode
Item Details
A vintage Louis XV/XVI style transitional commode. The veneered, mixed wood case is applied with gilt, rocaille mounts and embellished with burled panels. It features a rectangular, crossbanded top with a projecting center section above double-paneled sides and a stack of three machine-dovetailed drawers. The crossbanded fronts are fitted with scrolled foliate handles and the commode rises on cabriole legs centered by a shaped apron and ending in sabots.
