Framed Japanese Ink and Watercolor on Silk
Item Details
A framed Japanese ink and watercolor on silk of a charming rural scene. The image depicts a figure dressed in black with a pack, hiking towards two traditional buildings with thatched roofs. A steep waterfall is in the center of the picture, and in the background is a steep, barren hill and a snow-capped mountain in the distance. Yellow and red dabs of color sprout from foliage and trees sprout green leaves. The work is signed ‘Yuki’ (ゆき) alongside a red seal. The work is housed in a gold tone wooden frame, matted in beige with a red liner, and covered with glass. A sawtooth bracket is affixed to the back. No other marks are present.
