WWII US Army Air Force "Flying Tigers" Dress Uniform
Item Details
A WWII US army air force Flying Tigers dress uniform. This uniform bears the insignia for a first sergeant and a left shoulder patch indicating the soldier belonged to the US army air force and a right shoulder patch for the Flying Tigers, a group of volunteer pilots who flew for the Chinese as civilians before the US had entered the war. Indeed, this particular uniform was worn by a member of the support crew for the Flying Tigers while in China. Accompanying the jacket is the original pair of trousers.
