McGuire Rattan Butterfly Chair

A McGuire rattan butterfly chair. Based on a design by Edward Tuttle, the brown, rattan frame features a bowed crest above a pierced back and a slatted seat. The dramatically curved arms continue to a four-legged base joined by straight and curved stretchers. It retains a brass-toned plaque marked ‘McGuire / San Francisco’ with a list of patent numbers and copyright dates.
