Vincent Daddiego Original Enamel on Copper "Reflections of Venice"
Item Details
An original enamel on copper sheet with collaged copper foil by well-listed contemporary American artist Vincent Daddiego (New York/North Carolina; born 1938), titled Reflections of Venice. The work displays painted elegantly abstracted geometric shapes covering the surface. Crumpled copper foil adheres to the lower center, atop a piece of cut copper adhered to the base image. Title and artist signature are signed in paint to lower left and right corners. Daddiego refers to his work as ‘Baroque Expressionism’, as he fuses his Abstract Expressionist formal training under the likes of William Baziotes, Robert Motherwell and Willem deKooning, with his affinity for the musically curvilinear shapes of the Baroque period.
