A hand knotted Persian Heriz Serapi area rug. It features a central geometric star pendant medallion of brown, beige and aqua surrounded by a steel blue lozenge having a rectilinear floral and foliate design. It has floral guard borders and a wide primary border of bright white with a samovar and flower blossom motif in the field colors. It has overcast edges and a short, twisted cotton warp fringe to either end. Unmarked.
