1950s/60s Flexible Flyer Wood Snow Sled

A mid-century Flexible Flyer wood and metal sled. This sled retains its large colorful patriotic eagle decal with spread wings. The sled has stamping on the underneath, which says, ‘Flexible Flyer No 55H Airline Chief’, ‘Genuine Flexible Flyer With Safety-Runners and Super-Steering’, and ‘Made In U.S.A. by SL Allen&Co. Inc. Phila. PA. Manufacturers of Planet Jr. Farm & Garden Tools Garden Tractors’. This enduring sled also has a decal that reads ‘Super Steering’ and an Eagle with the ‘Flexible Flyer’ red banner decal on top of the sled.
