Paul Emile Lecomte Limited Edition Etching

A limited edition etching on paper by Paul Emile Lecomte (1877–1950). The piece shows a harbor scene and is numbered 56/300 in the bottom left corner and signed in the bottom right. The piece is matted in off-white and within a painted wood frame with hanging wire and a description in French on the verso.

Paul Emile, son of the artist Paul Lecompte (1842 – 1920), was an official painter of the French Navy Ministry specializing in harbor and seaside scenery. The painter won a gold medal at the Society of French Artists salon, where he regularly exhibited his works.

Condition

Slight age wear to the matting and print due to age.
