Antique French Le Maire Opera Binoculars

Item Details

A pair of antique French Le Maire opera binoculars. This bronze toned piece has a segmented shield of mother of pearl on the body and a rim of mother of pearl on the eyepiece. The marking ‘Le Maire, France’ is to the eyepiece and calligraphy of the initials ‘KMH’ is engraved in the metal to the center of the objective lenses.

Condition

- some mother of pearl pieces missing, tarnish consistent with age and use, was tested.
