Vaseo Vintage Oil Painting on Canvas
Item Details
An original mid-20th century oil painting on canvas by 20th century maritime artist Vaseo. Little is known about the artist, but this signature appears on many detailed maritime paintings from this period. The painting depicts a massive schooner with rows of rippling sails floating on a tumultuous deep blue and gray body of water. A few seagulls’ white forms pop vividly from the gloomy sky in the distance. The painting is presented in a wooden frame with cast embellishments, seamless corners, and white linen lining. A hanging wire is attached to the verso.
Condition
- a few very light cracks beginning to develop to paint’s surface. Cracking to seamless corners.
