Joseph Mozier Carrara Marble Bust

A marble bust by listed sculptor Joseph Mozier (1812 – 1870). Mozier was an American artist who died in 1870 and worked in Italy, Florence and Rome. The piece is marked along the base ‘J. Mozier Sculpt: Florence 1847’. The work depicts an American gentleman with sideburns, wrapped in a folded cloth.
