A hand knotted Persian Heriz-style area rug. The rug features a central medallion in a palette of maroon, deep red, cream, black and taupe that sits along a deep red field. The field is covered in lancet lines with four spandrels to each corner in a matching palette. The field is surrounded by a resolved compound border featuring a floral and oak leaf pattern throughout in a matching palette.It has double overcast edges and cropped cotton fringe to either end. The rug is tagged ‘Genuine Hand Woven, Oriental Rug, Made in Iran, 100% Wool Pile’ to the back.
