A signed watercolor painting with ink embellishments on paper by contemporary artist Ricardo Morin (Venezuela / New York; b. 1954), circa 2003. This abstract composition features greens, grays, yellows, and subtle bursts of blue painted within overlapping and transitioning shapes delineated with black outlines. This work is signed and dated by the artist in black ink to the upper right corner. The work remains unframed.

Morin immigrated to the United States from Venezuela in 1972. Based in New York and New Jersey, Morin received his B.F.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his M.F.A. at Yale University. His work has been exhibited at multiple institutions including the Bronx Museum of the Arts; the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York; the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts in Brooklyn, New York; and many others. He is most well-known for his non-objective abstract paintings that often exhibit a combination of linear delineation and spontaneous fluidity.
