Jesse E. Deviney Oil on Board Portrait with Reverse Painting

Item Details

An original oil on board by well listed American painter Jesse E. Deviney (1883-1941). This is a half portrait of a woman, in three-quarter profile, dressed in green with her hair parted and lifted. It is stamped in the bottom left corner in black ‘Jesse E Deviney 5.9’. This is presented in a wooden frame wired for hanging. There is a still life on the verso of an overflowing arrangement of wildflowers. This is accompanied with artist information and information on his teacher Darling.

- some minor wear to the frame.
