An oil painting on linen titled Triangulation Series No. 11 by listed artist Ricardo Morin (Venezuela, b. 1954), created in 2007. This abstract work depicts a scalene triangle outlined in blue. It is juxtaposed against a background of dripped diluted pigments and textural designs. Signed and dated to the lower right. Handwriting to the verso also includes the artist’s signature, date, title, and dimensions of the work.
Morin immigrated to the United States from Venezuela in 1972. Based in New York and New Jersey, Morin received his B.F.A. at the State University of New York at Buffalo and his M.F.A. at Yale University. His work has been exhibited at multiple institutions including the Bronx Museum of the Arts; the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York; the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts in Brooklyn, New York; and many others.
