Native American Book Collection With Native American Prints

A collection of books on Native American Indians that includes several Native American prints. Featured are the books on art by Karl Bodmer which includes Travels In the Interior Of North America During the Years 1832-1834. This volume showcases the reproductions of the hand-colored originals of Bodmer’s works in the book Die Reise In Das Innere Nord-America In Den Jahren by Prince Maximilian of Wied. This beautifully illustrated book contains full page, full color prints with smaller prints throughout the accompanying text (Taschen, Koln, 2001). Also is the book Bodmer’s America complete with eighty-one black and white plates of his work. (Joslyn Art Museum and Editions Alecto Limited, London, 1991). A collection of eleven watercolor reproductions from the book Pueblo Indian Painting are included (Szwedzicki, Nice, 1932). The offset lithographs are stamped on the back with the copyright information and are suitable for framing. Other volumes on Native Americans are included in this collection.
Condition
Shelf wear is evident. Dust jackets may be missing or torn. The loose prints were part of a bound book and are without the cover. Please see photographs for own assessment.
