Dixon Mixed Media Collage "Pretty in Pink"

A mixed media collage titled Pretty in Pink by Dixon, created in 1988. A pastel portrait on paper of a young girl with a greyhound resting his head in her lap; one of her pink shoes has fallen off and lays on the floor. Surrounding the portrait is an assortment of children’s objects such as pick-up sticks and a drawing with a pencil in the upper left corner and a puzzle in the lower right. A green line drawn from around the girls face leads to a photograph of a young boy whose face is almost identical to the girls. The pastel portrait is adhered to a canvas which is framed by wooden rulers. The artist has signed and dated this piece in blue pastel to the lower right corner. Presented floating on a piece of white wooden board housed in an acrylic case. To the verso, a horizontal hanging wire is present and this piece comes ready to hang.
Condition
-minor wear to edges of acrylic casing; acrylic is cracked and missing in upper right corner.
