An original oil painting on canvas of D and W Snack Shop signed by the artist. Depicted is a D and W Snack Shop once located on a street corner in St. Louis, Missouri. The store is rendered in its signature colors of red and white with two payphones located outside and an old fire alarm box that has been painted silver. In the street are three pigs and a woman walking away towards the right of the composition. Throughout the piece graphite, sketch lines can faintly be seen where the artist intended to add details at a later time. This piece is signed and dated illegibly in graphite to the lower right corner. Presented as an unframed canvas, to the verso, a horizontal hanging wire is present and this piece comes ready to hang.
Condition
- mold present to the front of the canvas; blue paint splatter near the upper left; water stains present to the verso, accretion along the corners to the verso.
