A handsome circa 1890s antique roll-top secretary desk, in cherry. It features an upper hutch with glass paned double doors and three adjustable shelves. The body of the piece features a solid (rather than tambour) roll-top with carved designs, enclosing a pull-out writing surface, two small drawers, and various letter slots and cubbies. The base features three drawers and a cabinet space with vertical partitions, and rolls on casters. No label or maker’s mark.
