Item Details
A pair of signed handblown glass bird figurines by iconic Finnish designer Oiva Toikka (born 1931). Created for sale for the Finnish design company Iittala, this pairing includes a bird with a black head, a white chest, and a black and brown ombré body with bubbles throughout, as well as a bird with a black head, a swirled tan and green neck, and a black body. Both of the birds are signed ‘O. Toikka’ to the underside and carry their original Iittala stickers as well. A softcover book titled Birds by Toikka written by Toikan Linnut is also included. The book was published in 2008 by Werner Soderstrom Osakeyhtio.
