An early 20th-century Japanese boat-form figural jardinière. The blue and white porcelain jardiniere is embellished with ornate cobalt decoration and has a figure of a man perched on the bow of the boat with a bisque head. The underside is stamped with a Kutani seal (九谷…八), with third character partially illegible.
