Antique English Sampson Hancock & Sons "Norman" Dish Set

A set of antique china by Sampson Hancock & Sons. Made in England during the late 19th century, this set is in the Sampson Hancock Norman pattern and features transferware images of brown and orange flowers with gold tone accents. Included in this set are twelve salad plates, twelve dinner plates, twelve bread plates, and six bowls. Each of the pieces is marked ‘Norman SH’ to the underside.

These dishes match items featured in lot 16WDC115-261 of this sale.

Condition

- chips to the edge of three of the salad plates. Chip to the underside of one bread plate. Large chip to edge of one bread plate. Slight discoloration on one bread plate. Crazing present throughout.
