A sonambient sound sculpture in beryllium copper and brass by Harry Bertoia (American, 1915-1978). The work is mounted on square brass base, with 25 rods. Base in a bronzed finish.

Harry Bertoia was a pioneer of sound sculpture, who famously developed and recorded his ‘sonambient’ works during the 1960s and 70s. They are meant to interact with viewers, as well as wind and other elements.

Condition

Very light verdigree oxidation to basins. Two stems with slight bend
