A pair of antique Chinese octagonal porcelain plates. The unusual Chinese export ware dishes feature a matched design of a pine tree and blossoming peonies within an elegantly fenced garden. The plates have a floral and foliate border with persimmons, gourds, and delicate foliage on a white and pale blue porcelain ground. The plates are unmarked, and likely date from the 18th century.
