Barday Hand-Pulled Lithograph "Chateau Frontenac, Quebec"

An original hand-pulled colored lithograph on paper with deckled edges by French artist Barday; little is known about this artist, but their name is found on many European scenes from the mid-20th century. This print is titled Chateau Frontenac, Quebec. It depicts the massive structure overlooking the banks of the St. Lawrence River. The print is signed in-plate to the lower left by the artist, and it is titled in pencil to the lower margin. It is mounted to white backing with a blue French line and is matted in wood veneer with red lining. It is presented behind glass in a simple wooden frame with an eyehook to its top edge for hanging.
Condition
- paper is slightly yellowed and warped. Frame is beginning to separate at corners.
