A group of four Japanese woodblock prints after artist Hiroshi Yoshida (吉田博, 1876-1950). Included in this collection is Yoshida’s print titled Osaka Castle (大坂城, Ōsaka-jō): the artist’s ‘Yoshida’ signature and ‘Hiroshi’ stamp are printed in the lower right corner of the image; in the left margin is the printed title. The second work print is titled Small Town in Chugoku (中国之小町 Chūgoku no Komachi): the artist’s signature and stamp are printed in the lower right corner of the image; in the left margin is the printed title. To the verso is a framer’s label and stamp. The third print is titled Willow and Stone Bridge (柳に石橋 Yanagi ni ishibashi): the artist’s signature and stamp are printed in the lower right corner of the image; in the left margin is the printed title. The last print is titled Suzukawa; the artist’s ‘Yoshida’ signature and ‘Hiroshi’ stamp are printed to the lower left corner. All of the prints were likely printed posthumously.
