Vintage Hutschenreuther German Fine Porcelain Plate "Die Walküre" from the Series "Der Ring des Nibelungen"

A vintage Hutschenreuther German Fine Porcelain Plate titled ‘Die Walküre’ from the Der Ring des Nibelungen series made in the 1980s and 1990s. The series was made in an edition of 5000 and was meant to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Richard Wagner’s death. Designed by Charlotte and William Hallett, the plate takes its subject from the second of the four operatic dramas in Richard Wagner’s cycle by the same name. To the underside, the plate is marked with the Hutschenreuther hallmark, the embossed signatures of the designers, a description of the plate and series, and ‘Edition of 5000’. A label with care information is also adhered to the underside. The plate can be hung as it comes with hardware to the underside. The plate comes stored in its original box.
