A signed oil on canvas painting by listed artist Barbara Swan (1922–2003). The painting depicts light coming through a collection of glass bottles set upon a table with a plant to the right side. The painting is signed in paint at the lower left corner. It is presented in a dark tone wood frame with a wire on the back for hanging.

Barbara Swan was an American painter, illustrator, and lithographer. Many of her works feature bottles and reflections within them, her early works closely reflecting the Boston Expressionist school. Later in her career she also produced still-life and portrait paintings and collaborated with poets Anne Sexton and Maxine Kumin creating pen and ink illustrations for some of their books. Many of her paintings are held in the collections of museums throughout the United States.
