Tom Levine Sketchbook Drawing on Paper "30.VII.07"

A charcoal, graphite, and oil pastel sketchbook drawing on paper titled 30.VII.07 by artist Tom Levine (American, b. 1945). Executed in 2007, the work depicts a dark gray square with a vertical striped pattern and six light gray rectangles. To the lower left corner, the piece is marked with its title and ‘Antibes’ in graphite. To the lower right corner, the item is signed by the artist in graphite. Presented in a floating frame under UV protective plexi; to the verso are a variety of framer’s and gallery labels.

Levine was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has painted since a young boy. His abstract and figurative work can be found in museum collections, as well as numerous corporate collections. Levine received a BA in English and Business from Miami University, a Master’s in Psychology and Communications from The University of Denver, and an M.F.A. in Art History from the University of Cincinnati.
