1945 U.S.S. Shangri La Wooden Sign

Item Details

A vintage military wooden sign. This sign was aboard the U.S.S. Shangri La. An information packet on the naval air carrier is attached to the back of the wooden sign. The air carrier was completed in 1944, was put to use in 1945 and demolished in 1988. The back of the sign has the name of a naval officer, CWO Bitzal, painted in white. Information regarding Bitzal is also included in the envelope.
