Vintage Hales, Hancock & Godwin "Dorset" Transferware Serving Pieces
Item Details
A selection of Hales, Hancock & Godwin transferware serving pieces. These Dorset pattern pieces feature a white china body with designs of blue. The designs featured here in the covered casserole and two serving platters showcases oranges, orange blossoms, and delicate swags tied at each peak with a ribbon. Gold tone detail is applied to the rims. Pieces are marked ‘Dorset, H.H.G. Ltd L.’ to the underside.
Hales, Hancock & Godwin were well known London retailers of china and glassware from 1922 until 1960. They were known to commission china patterns from various makers.

- surface scratches; loss of applied gold tone detail.
