A signed, numbered lithograph on paper by Marino Marini titled Aquarius (G. L130). The artist abstractly depicts three horses in motion with a palette of white and black on cobalt blue, with bold red and purple detail. The print is numbered by hand with graphite in the lower left margin, with Roman numerals ‘XXVII/C’ (27/100) and signed by hand with Marini’s initials in blue pencil in the lower right margin. The piece is matted with white linen and has been framed under protective TruVue Museum Glass. The frame has been finished to the reverse with protective paper tape and picture wire has been added to the back for hanging.
Condition
- surface scratches; veneer coating is peeling and lifting from frame at the corners; missing a section of frame veneer coating at lower left corner.
