A complete set of The Novels of Balzac featuring the works of French novelist and playwright Honoré de Balzac (1799-1850). This set was published in 1901 by The Anvil Publishing Company of Philadelphia and edited by George Saintbury. Included are Cousin Pons, The Jealousies of a Country Town, The Commission in Lunacy, The Country Parson, Albert Savarus, The Middle Classes, and The Gondreville Mystery. Also included are the many collections of short stories such as Secenes from a Courtesan’s Life and Other Stories, A Woman of Thirty and Other Stories, and The Country Doctor and Other Stories. The set includes twenty-nine volumes in total.
