The painting is completed in muted Southwestern tones that call to mind the serene glow of the desert landscape. The painting is signed to the lower right. A note to the verso reads: Manuel Chaca, Age 14, School: Hopi High School, Oraibi, Arizona.’ The painting is matted in orange-brown and presented behind glass in a beveled silver tone metallic frame with a hanging wire.
