Five Vintage Oyster Plates in Sage Green by Sarreguemines France

Item Details

Five vintage oyster plates made by the Sarreguemines factory in France in 1940 features an art deco era rim design in sage green glaze color. A ring of six concave depressions in the plate surround a central smaller concave depression intended for holding dipping sauce. At the rim, in between the individual circular oyster bowls is a layered curved ‘V’ with scalloped outer edge typical of the 1920s art deco styling.
