A chinoiserie painted wooden chest. Made of wood with metal hardware and painted cladding, this tabletop chest has a rounded top and Chinese style clasp. A scene is depicted in gold tones against the black base, of a figure on camelback speaking to a smaller figure, framed by oversized ornate trees and folaites. The box is unmarked.
