George L.K. Morris Gouache Titled "Indian Emblems"

A gouache painting on paper titled Indian Emblems created in 1937 by well-listed Modern artist George L.K. Morris (American, 1905 – 1975). Depicted is a group of American Indian emblems created from abstract forms and shapes. This piece is signed in graphite near the lower left corner with the artist initials forming a monogram. Housed in a gilt frame under glass, in a cream mat with gold tone fillet. To the verso, biographical information is provided along the bottom of the painting with a label from Closson’s Art Gallery present to the backing. Hanging hardware is present and this piece comes ready to hang.

- minor wear to frame; minor discoloration to mat.
