An original 1905 booklet insert from the women’s magazine Delineator titled A Song of Faith: The Twenty-Third Psalm, featuring stunning full-color offset lithographic illustrations after the original sensuous Egyptian-Revival Art Nouveau paintings by well-listed German artist Joseph Christian Leyendecker (1874 – 1951). Each illustration accompanies verses from Psalm 23 and is signed in plate. The publication includes the original preceding page of printed text from Delineator, describing the illustrations. This beautiful keepsake is presented in a clear vinyl sleeve.
Condition
- condition consistent with age and use. Light discoloration to pages. Light wear to edges of pages with a few small tears and creases. Holes from original binding into magazine along spine.
