This painting is a semi-abstract seascape, suggesting a crescent moon with a maroon reflection between white water waves of sculpturally applied white paint over a brown-black background. Signed ‘Ashton III’ at the lower right, the painting is framed in black with a gold tone border. It is signed on the back to an original owner, ‘To Marian. Ashton III 1997 L.C.’
