Vintage Swiss-Made Hebdomas Arnex Pocket Watch

A vintage Swiss-made Hebdomas Arnex 18 Jewels pocket watch. The pocket watch is round, with an unusual white enameled sideways oval dial, with black Arabic numerals and hands. The bottom portion of the dial shows gold colored gears, and ornate metal parts. The dial is decorated with two gold leaves to either side of the lower portion. It is marked ‘Hebdomas – Arnex 18 Jewels – RS AF – Swiss Made – 8 Jours – 8 Days’. The silver tone metal case is engraved around the sides with the message ‘The Best – The First – The Last’. The sides also have ornate oakleaf designs. The back of the case is decorated with female huntresses, one of whom is carrying a bow and arrow, with a pack of hunting dogs. The inside back of the watch is marked ‘Jours Ancre – Bruxelles 1910 – Milan 1916 – Paris 1900 – Chicago 1902 – Geneve 1896’ – Arnex Time Co. Inc. – Fifteen 15 Jewels Unadjusted – Qualite Superieure Garantie – Swiss Made’. The watch comes with a silver tone chrome metal pocket watch chain, with a clip on the end.
