A machine-made Middle Eastern pictorial accent rug. The rug depicts three men in traditional dress appearing to pray on unrolled prayer rugs at an oasis in a wide desert. Their two camels, laden with goods and supplies, rest near them by tall palm trees. The overall colors represent the desert scene, in warm beige, ecru, oranges, greens and mocha. The field image is framed by a decorative, scrolled orange border on a black field, with hand applied faded blue wool fringe to either end, and stitched edges. Unmarked.
