An original signed airbrush painting titled Transit c.1984 by listed Cincinnati artist John Stewart, an esteemed professor at the University of Cincinnati DAAP school. Stewart’s artworks have been featured at several museums and institutions including the Whitney Museum and the Baltimore Art Museum. The visually striking Transit features a kneeled figure wrapped in luminescent satin fabric. Stewart’s use of color in this piece is all the more stunning as the artist is color blind. The piece is signed by the artist on the back of the canvas. The painting has two hooks for hanging to the verso. This very large painting will serve as the focal point to any room.
