Vintage Tri-City Air Traffic Radio

Item Details

A vintage Tri-City air traffic radio. This radio, model 3939, is housed in a stained wood body with a hinged top, which can be opened to reveal its inner components. Its front metal plate contains three ridged knobs that can be turned to affect volume and radio station. Also included are two white and black wired headphones, which both contain an embossing on the side that reads ‘Airline Special, Lakeside Electric Works’.

Condition

- loose threads coming from headphone wires
- back has some loose threads from electrical wires
- box has scratching and scuffs
- tested and powers on, tuned into station
