Handwoven Indian Agra-Style Area Rug

Item Details

A handwoven wool Indian Agra-style area rug. This piece has an allover brown, mauve, tan, and sage colorway and a large scale pattern of acanthus leaves, lotus flowers and palmettes on a black field, with a wide border of the same, flanked to the inside and outside with a lobed flower border. It has overcast edges and a short, soft wool fringe to either end. Unmarked.
