Nessa Grainger Original Collaged Monotype "Visions IV"

An original monotype with collaged rice paper, palm bark, papyrus, hand-painted papers, and gold and silk threads by 20th century American artist Nessa Grainger, titled Visions IV. The piece depicts a striated organic composition in neutral tones of brown, gray, and white with pale blue accents. The piece is mounted to white backing that is signed and titled in pencil by the artist. The piece is triple-matted in complementary neutrals and is presented behind glass in a thin gold tone metal frame, equipped to hang. A gallery tag attached to the verso gives its medium and title, and a handwritten note to the verso reads, ‘To Foster and Rae; Many Thanks – Love – Nessa and Murray.’
Condition
- adhesive residue to right edge of glass. Light scratching to frame.
